Fiday Night BBQ and Live music

Well it is hard to believe Friday has come and gone and another week has ended!

As usual we had our BBQ night and thanks to all (over 40 in all) who supported it, yet again a wonderful way to spend a Friday evening on holiday - good food -good drinks - good company - good music and an evening under the moon light.

What a perfect day

Jack and Linda decided that they wanted to do something different this time and so they decided they wanted to do a boat trip. We arranged the trip and took them off to Portimão to meet the crew around 2.30 in the afternoon. We had booked food for them and of course plenty of refreshments to ensure they lacked nothing.

I went to pick them up at 9.30pm in Portimão and was meet by a beaming smile and two very happy people who had the time of their life. They came back and have promoted the trip to all – so great to see they enjoyed it!

BBQ night last night

Last night we had our second BBQ and had a great time, even had live music, what a difference sitting outside enjoying good food and relaxing to entertaining music and as usual the girls were up dancing.

We even had a toast with one of Spanish guest as Spain is the football world champion!

New Resident guest

We have over the past days had a new guest arrive at the end of each day to relax in the beautiful setting here at Boa Nova - This bird is able to spot quality even from above!!

Portuguese Evening - Wine Tasting

Last night saw the start of our first Portuguese Evening. The idea behind these evenings is to give our guest the experience of a typical Portuguese meal followed by a Portuguese wine tasting. Last night we served Cataplana -a mixed dish of various seafood. Eddie made also a meat version which was enjoyed as well.

We selected 3 white wines and 2 reds as well as a Port. Personally I was very pleased with the wine selection as it clearly demonstrated the wonderful selection of Portuguese wines on offer. The average rating on the evening of the various wines was in the top 70%. Going forward we will start to stock the wine we use in the tasting as they clearly were a hit.

Towards the end of the evening we brought out a red wine we are planning to use in our own label and again, pleasantly surprised with how well it was received!

We wil be having these evening every Monday from now on until end of August, so please let us know if you wish to join us as we plan to have only 20 guests at a time!
